Abaya Manufacturing Process | AL RUQIU UAE

See AL RUQIU's abaya manufacturing process from design brief and fabric specification to sampling where included, production, checks and finishing.

AL RUQIU's abaya manufacturing process starts with a design brief and consultation. Clients can share silhouettes, measurements, fabrics, colours, embellishment, quantities, labels, packaging and destination requirements so the team can review the proposed collection before production.

The selected fabric, shade, weight, trims and construction details are recorded in the working specification. Client-supplied materials or requested fabric options are reviewed against the design and embellishment requirements.

After the design details are agreed, patterns are prepared and, where included in the agreed scope, a pre-production sample may be developed for review. The sample, if made, gives the client and factory a shared reference for fit, placement, construction, finish and measurements before grading or bulk cutting.

After the relevant pattern and specification details are approved, the pattern can be graded for the required size range and fabric can be prepared for cutting. The agreed cutting method is applied to the prepared fabric before panels move forward.

Where decoration is included in the agreed scope, panels receive the specified work through the relevant production department. Thread embroidery, beadwork, stone work and handwork are planned around placement, density, colour, comfort and the approved sample or specification. Not every order uses every technique.

Cut and decorated panels are assembled according to the approved construction details. Machine selection and the sewing sequence depend on the garment specification and agreed production scope.

Quality-control checkpoints can be agreed during production and after construction. Depending on the order, checks may cover measurements, decoration, stitching, loose threads, closures, pressing and overall presentation. Issues identified through the agreed checks can be recorded for correction before packing.

Finishing and packing may include thread cleaning, pressing, agreed labels, packing labels and packaging. Carton and order details can be reconciled before dispatch or export preparation for the confirmed destination.

Approval checkpoints are practical controls, not automatic guarantees. Keep the approved sample, measurement sheet, fabric reference, artwork, quantity table, labels and packaging notes together so the client and factory share the same production reference.

The process photographs on this page show selected real production-department assets. They illustrate cutting, embroidery, sewing and finishing work; they do not claim that every stage or every order is photographed.

For a process review, share your design brief and target quantity with the AL RUQIU team. Wholesale orders start from 20 pieces per design per color, subject to the final approved specification.
